Purpose & Philosophy

Beach Saint-Germain F.C. is committed to providing a safe, respectful, development- focused, and professional environment for all players and families. These standards and policies clearly define expectations for players, parents and guardians, coaches, and staff, and are designed to promote a positive, inclusive experience aligned with the club’s mission, values, and long-term development philosophy.

By participating in any Beach Saint-Germain F.C. program or activity, all members of the club community agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a culture of respect, accountability, and shared responsibility.

Player Standards & Code of Conduct

Expectations of All Players

All players are expected to:

  • Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, referees, and staff with respect
  • Demonstrate positive sportsmanship at all times
  • Arrive on time and prepared for all sessions and matches
  • Give consistent effort and maintain a growth mindset
  • Follow instructions and club guidelines
  • Represent Beach Saint-Germain F.C. with integrity on and off the field

Training & Match Behavior

Players must:

  • Listen attentively during training and matche
  • Refrain from inappropriate language or gestures
  • Support teammates positively
  • Accept coaching and referee decisions respectfully

PLAYING TIME PHILOSOPHY

Playing time is managed to support player development, learning, and team needs.

  • Development Programs: Playing time is balanced and development-focused
  • Competitive Academy: Playing time is managed based on effort, readiness, attendance, and game demands

Playing time is not guaranteed and is not tied to fees, tenure, or parent involvement.

DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

Failure to meet player expectations may result in one or more of the following actions, depending on the nature and severity of the behavior:

  • Verbal warning
  • Temporary removal from activity
  • Suspension from training or matches
  • Dismissal from the program (no refund)
PARENT & GUARDIAN CODE OF CONDUCT

Parents and guardians play a critical role in a player’s development. Beach Saint-Germain F.C. expects families to support a positive learning environment

SIDELINE BEHAVIOR

Parents/guardians must:

  • Encourage all players
    positively
  • Refrain from coachingfrom the
    sidelines
  • Respect referees and opponents
  • Avoid negative comments, gestures, or confrontations

Sidelines are for support, not instruction.

COMMUNICATION

Parents/guardians must:

  • Communicate
    respectfully and constructively
  • Follow the club’s communication channels
  • Allow appropriate time before addressing concerns (24-hour rule)

Concerns should never be addressed during or immediately after games

ZERO-TOLERANCE BEHAVIOR

The following will not
be tolerated:

  • Abusive or threatening
    behavior
  • Disrespect toward referees, players, or staff
  • Harassment or discrimination of any kind

Violations may result in removal from club activities

SAFETY, SAFESPORT & PLAYER PROTECTION

Beach Saint-Germain F.C. is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all participants.

SAFESPORT COMPLIANCE

The club adheres to SafeSport guidelines, including:

  • Appropriate boundaries between adults and players
  • No one-on-one interactions in private settings
  • Mandatory reporting of concerns

MEDICAL & EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

  • Players must have emergency contact informationon file
  • Coaches will follow established emergency protocols
  • Parents must notify the club of medical conditions or injuries
ATTENDANCE & COMMITMENT

Regular attendance is essential to a player’s development and overall experience at Beach Saint-Germain F.C. Consistent participation in training sessions and matches allows players to build skills, develop team chemistry, and progress appropriately within their program. Players are expected to attend all scheduled activities and to notify coaches in advance when an absence is unavoidable. Chronic or repeated absences may impact a player’s development, team role, placement, or playing time.

Commitment expectations vary by program pathway. Development Programs are designed to allow for a moderate level of commitment while still emphasizing growth, learning, and enjoyment of the game. Competitive Academy programs require a higher level of commitment, reflecting increased training demands, competition levels, and team responsibilities. Players and families are expected to understand and honor the commitment expectations associated with their chosen pathway.

DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH THE COACH

Parents Should not contact coaches or club leadership through personal social media accounts.

SOCIAL MEDIA & PUBLIC REPRESENTATION

Players, parents, and staff are expected to represent the club with integrity and respect in all public forums. Online behavior should reflect the club’s values and commitment to a positive, inclusive, and development-focused environment.

All members of the club community must:

  • Represent the club positively on social media and public platforms
  • Avoid posting or sharing content that is disrespectful, discriminatory, threatening, or harmful to others
  • Refrain from sharing confidential, private, or sensitive information related to players, families, coaches, or club operations

In addition, players and families should not engage in online disputes, negative commentary, or public criticism involving teammates, coaches, referees, opponents, or the club. Concerns should always be addressed through the club’s established communication channels.

PROGRAM PLACEMENT & MOVEMENT

Player placement decisions are made to support each player’s development and confidence. Evaluations consider:

  • Developmental readiness
  • Technical ability
  • Effort and attitude
  • Team needs

Decisions are made by the coaching and technical staff based on ongoing observation and are not determined by age alone or prior placement.

Movement between Development and Competitive pathways may occur as players progress or as their needs change. Any movement is determined by the club in consultation with families and is guided by the player’s long-term development.

Participation in any Beach Saint-Germain F.C. program constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these standards and policies.

Beach Saint-Germain F.C. reserves the right to modify these standards and policies at any time. The most current version will be posted on the club website.
